As president and founder of Legacy Financial Services, my team and I have been committed to helping families with comprehensive planning for over 25 years. We continue to grow our services even as we continue to expand, and I have an update for you regarding a new collaboration between Legacy Financial Services and Retirement Shepherd.
I met Nelson Newton several years ago through the FPA (Financial Planning Association). We share a common view on a comprehensive financial planning, a process learned through the FPA and our extensive education. We share this philosophy and have practiced this approach over many years. We are both committed to our clients as we build long-term relationships. As part of that commitment Nelson came to us with a concern that he needed to collaborate with another advisor group that could help as part of a business transition through and beyond a future retirement date. I also saw a tremendous opportunity to help more families with Nelson’s help as a Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA®).
As I considered this collaboration it occurred to me that I have always considered my relationships with clients as a privileged and trusted role as an advisor. This has over many years grown from a traditional financial planning practice to what I believe has become a personal ministry. Kingdom Advisors is a natural expansion of my ministry as it is a national professional organization that teaches financial advisors how to integrate faith and finance. We can now offer more values-based solutions* and planning with the help of Nelson and Kingdom Advisors.
Since we are all practicing Christians, this is a natural fit and extension of what we already believe and practice.
I am excited about the future of our working together to enhance and expand our services to client’s and provide more families with our advice and care!
We will be getting to know some of Nelson's clients over the next few years since our firm is his succession plan - if any of you have questions about this or would like to meet Nelson, we'd be happy to talk about how he can support you in partnership with us.
Kingdom Advisors is not affiliated with Legacy Financial Services nor USA Financial Securities.
*Values-Based Investing (VBI), or Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI), is a method designed to aide in the management and investment selections in your account. VBI/BRI is only a label for an investment strategy that aims to incorporate biblical, or values-based, principles in investing, however it is not an official classification of companies. It is possible that companies exist within a portfolio labeled as VBI/BRI hold principles that are not in line with biblical, or values-based, philosophy. Employing a strategy that limits investment options has the potential to eliminate exposure to investment options that may increase had they been owned in the account. Electing to remove certain investment options based on certain criteria related to the business practices of a company may result in the loss of potential gains. Additionally, it is possible that an overconcentration in certain types of companies may result in employing this type of investment strategy.
